Circa 1930 Jacobean Revival Carved Oak Sideboard

A beautifully substantial Jacobean Revival oak sideboard, dating approximately to circa 1930, combining wonderful craftsmanship, generous storage and a rich dark oak finish.

This striking piece has a strong architectural quality, with beautifully figured oak across the large cupboard doors, each featuring an impressive raised carved central panel. The deep colour and natural grain of the timber give the sideboard tremendous warmth and character.

At the centre are three graduated drawers, each finished with traditional brass drop handles. Flanking these are two spacious cupboards with internal shelving, providing excellent practical storage for tableware, glassware, linens or everyday essentials.

The sideboard stands on distinctive turned bulbous front supports, joined by a low stretcher framework, while a raised gallery runs along the back of the substantial top.

Its combination of decorative craftsmanship and practical proportions makes this an incredibly versatile statement piece. Perfect as a dining room sideboard, living room cabinet, hallway piece or drinks cabinet, and particularly suited to country house, rustic, traditional and eclectic interiors.
