A beautifully characterful late Victorian sideboard and storage cupboard, dating approximately to circa 1890–1900, with wonderfully warm colouring, attractive figured timber and timeless traditional proportions.
The substantial rectangular top has a softly moulded edge and sits above two useful dovetailed drawers, each finished with turned wooden handles. Below, four traditional panelled cupboard doors open to reveal a generous arrangement of internal shelving, offering excellent practical storage.
The natural grain and rich variation throughout the timber are particularly attractive, giving the piece the warmth and individuality that can only really be found in antique furniture.
Its relatively compact proportions make this an incredibly versatile piece for the modern home. It would work beautifully as a kitchen cupboard, dining room sideboard, hallway cabinet, linen cupboard or living room storage cabinet.
