A beautiful Victorian walnut writing table, dating to approximately circa 1870, with a wonderfully decorative and unusual design.

This impressive antique desk features a generous writing surface surrounded by a raised gallery, four useful drawers and beautifully turned pedestal supports. Beneath, an elaborate stretcher with circular platforms joins the two shaped tripod bases, giving the piece a particularly distinctive architectural appearance.

The walnut has developed a gorgeous warm colour and aged patina, making this a superb statement piece for a study, library, home office or characterful interior.
