A beautiful antique Victorian pine chest of drawers, dating from approximately 1880–1900, with a wonderfully warm natural finish and all the character expected from a genuine piece of 19th-century furniture.
The chest follows the classic Victorian configuration of two short upper drawers over three generous full-width graduated drawers, providing excellent practical storage while retaining beautifully balanced proportions.
The drawer fronts feature restrained moulded detailing, individual keyholes and decorative metal swing handles. A gently rounded solid timber top completes the traditional design.
One of the most appealing features is the timber itself. The pine has developed a rich honey-toned patina, with visible grain, knots and subtle variations in colour giving the piece a relaxed and authentic appearance.
A highly versatile antique that would work beautifully as bedroom storage, but equally well within a hallway, dressing room or living space. Its simple form makes it particularly suited to English country, farmhouse and rustic interiors.
