Antique Edwardian Mahogany Bureau Writing Desk – Fitted Interior c.1900

A beautiful antique mahogany bureau, dating to approximately 1890–1910, with a superb fitted writing interior and an abundance of traditional character.

The large fall-front opens to create a generous writing surface, revealing an impressive fitted interior with numerous pigeonholes, small drawers and a central cupboard. When closed, the bureau presents as a handsome and substantial piece of traditional furniture.

Below the writing compartment are two smaller drawers and three full-width graduated drawers, providing excellent storage. Decorative brass handles and escutcheons complement the warm mahogany beautifully, while the shaped bracket feet complete its classic late Victorian / Edwardian appearance.

A wonderfully versatile piece that would make an impressive addition to a study, home office, living room, bedroom or hallway.
