Antique Edwardian Inlaid Mahogany Triple Wardrobe c.1900 – Sheraton Revival Mirrored Wardrobe

A magnificent antique mahogany triple wardrobe dating from approximately circa 1900, beautifully decorated with intricate floral marquetry, fine inlaid detailing and richly figured veneers.

Designed in the elegant Sheraton Revival style, this impressive wardrobe is dominated by its exceptional central marquetry panel. Delicate floral swags, trailing foliage and classical decorative motifs are beautifully inlaid against the richly figured timber, creating a particularly striking centrepiece.

Two full-length mirrored outer doors flank the central section, each framed with delicate contrasting stringing and attractive shaped upper corners. The central section incorporates a decorative cupboard above four graduated drawers, providing an excellent combination of hanging and folded storage.

Opening the outer doors reveals generous hanging compartments with rails, shelving and additional hooks, making this a highly practical wardrobe as well as an impressive piece of period furniture.

The substantial moulded cornice, rich colour, figured veneers, decorative metal handles and extensive inlay complete this exceptionally handsome piece of late Victorian / Edwardian bedroom furniture.

Condition

This is a genuine antique wardrobe dating from around the turn of the 20th century and consequently displays age-related marks, knocks, minor imperfections, variations in colour and other signs of previous use consistent with its age and history.

The mirrors may display minor age-related imperfections associated with antique glass. The timber retains a beautiful warm colour, while the intricate marquetry and inlaid decoration remain particularly striking features.
