A charming Victorian upholstered armchair dating from the late 19th century, around 1890–1910.
This elegant antique chair features a rich mahogany frame with beautifully turned front legs set on castors, a decorative spindle gallery and a carved scrolled crest rail. The deep buttoned back and generously proportioned seat give the chair both comfort and presence.
The chair retains its velvet upholstery in a warm olive tone which complements the mahogany frame and adds to its relaxed country house character.
Its proportions make it a versatile piece for modern interiors. It would work wonderfully as an occasional chair in a living room, bedroom, hallway or reading corner.
A timeless antique chair full of character and warmth that would suit farmhouse, cottage, country house or relaxed contemporary interiors.
