Victorian figured veneer chest of drawers, circa 1860
£695.00
A characterful Victorian chest of drawers with richly figured veneered fronts, a curved upper frieze and decorative turned corner details. Warm timber tones and substantial turned feet give this piece a strong period presence.
Two short drawers sit above two deeper full-width drawers, offering practical bedroom storage. Its broad top provides space for a mirror, lamp or favourite decorative objects, while the visibly worn finish suits an interior that embraces the character of antique furniture.
Estimated to date from circa 1850–1870, with Scottish-style detailing. The exterior appears to combine mahogany with decorative figured veneers, although the precise timber has not been independently confirmed.
