Antique Arts & Crafts Oak Cabinet – c.1910–1930
A handsome and highly practical antique oak cabinet, dating to approximately c.1910–1930, with strong Arts & Crafts influences and beautifully understated early 20th-century styling.
Constructed in richly toned oak, this substantial piece combines clean architectural lines with traditional craftsmanship. Its relatively compact footprint makes it particularly versatile while still providing an excellent amount of useful storage.
The upper section features two generously proportioned drawers, each fitted with distinctive geometric wooden handles. Traditional dovetail construction is clearly visible to the drawer joints, demonstrating the quality and craftsmanship of the piece.
Below sits a double-door panelled cupboard, opening to reveal a spacious interior with shelving. This provides wonderfully adaptable storage for linens, tableware, glassware, books or everyday household essentials.
The oak displays particularly attractive natural figuring across the sides, while the deep warm finish has developed a wonderfully established patina through generations of use.
With its restrained Arts & Crafts design and practical proportions, this would work beautifully as a linen cupboard, hallway cabinet, kitchen storage piece, drinks cabinet or characterful freestanding cupboard.
