Vintage French Provincial Oval Dining Table – Radial Veneered Top c.1930–1950

A beautifully elegant vintage French Provincial / Louis XV Revival dining table, dating to approximately c.1930–1950, featuring an exceptional fixed oval top with striking radial veneering.

The tabletop is undoubtedly the defining feature of this piece. Beautifully figured sections of warm-toned veneer have been arranged in a dramatic radial pattern, creating wonderful movement and symmetry across the surface. A contrasting outer border and elegantly moulded, scalloped edge beautifully frame the design.

Beneath the top sits a graceful shaped apron with subtle carved scroll detailing, supported by four beautifully curved cabriole legs characteristic of French Provincial and Louis XV-inspired furniture.

The combination of its generous proportions, sophisticated timber pattern and elegant silhouette makes this a superb statement dining table. It would sit beautifully within a French-inspired, English country-house or traditional interior, while providing an interesting contrast within a more contemporary setting.

Condition

Presented in good vintage condition with age-related marks, light scratches, surface wear and variations to the timber and finish, consistent with its age and previous use.
