A beautiful matching set of six antique Victorian mahogany balloon-back dining chairs, dating approximately c.1840–1860.

Crafted from richly coloured mahogany, these elegant early to mid-Victorian chairs display the graceful curves and decorative craftsmanship characteristic of the period.

Each chair features a distinctive sweeping balloon-shaped open back, centred by an attractive carved and scrolled lower rail. The generously upholstered serpentine seats sit above beautifully shaped cabriole front legs, creating an elegant silhouette from every angle.

The mahogany has developed a wonderful depth of colour and patina, particularly evident across the curved backs and carved details.

Currently upholstered in an attractive cream and soft blush-pink patterned fabric with coordinating decorative trim, the chairs offer a refined look that works beautifully within both traditional and more contemporary interiors.
