A striking pair of Victorian walnut nursing chairs dating to around 1870, showcasing elegant proportions and beautifully carved detail. With their gently shaped backs, deep button upholstery and classic low seat height, these chairs are a perfect example of refined 19th-century design.
The solid walnut frames feature delicate carving to the crest rails and arms, complemented by turned front legs set on original castors. Their rich tone and natural patina highlight the quality of craftsmanship, while the soft blue upholstery adds a subtle contrast.
These chairs work effortlessly as occasional seating in a living space, bedroom or hallway, and equally present a fantastic opportunity for reupholstery to suit a more contemporary interior.
