Antique Victorian Oak Sideboard – Circa 1890 Country House Buffet Cabinet

A beautiful late Victorian oak sideboard, dating approximately to circa 1890, with wonderful natural character, rich colouring and particularly attractive figuring throughout the timber.

This substantial antique piece features two useful upper drawers above a pair of panelled cupboard doors, complemented by decorative brass drop handles and traditional escutcheon detailing. The broad top, panelled construction and substantial plinth give the piece a wonderfully grounded country-house appearance.

The oak has developed a rich, warm patina, with the marks and variations accumulated through generations of use adding considerably to its character.
