A beautifully elegant antique Victorian dressing chest, dating to approximately c.1880–1900, complete with a large adjustable oval dressing mirror.

Beautifully proportioned and full of late 19th-century character, this handsome piece combines generous practical storage with understated period detailing and traditional craftsmanship.

The chest features three smaller upper drawers above two generous full-width drawers, providing excellent storage for clothing, linens and accessories. The drawers display traditional hand-cut dovetail construction, demonstrating the quality and genuine age of the piece.

Decorative brass-tone ring handles with detailed backplates complement the warm natural timber beautifully, while traditional keyholes remain visible to the drawer fronts.

Above the chest sits an attractive raised gallery with a useful open shelf, supporting the impressive oval adjustable dressing mirror. The mirror can be tilted within its frame, creating an elegant and beautifully balanced silhouette.

Presented in good antique condition with age-related marks, knocks, scratches, surface wear and variations in colour and finish, entirely consistent with a piece dating from the late 19th century.
