An exceptional antique Victorian carved walnut chaise longue, dating from approximately circa 1880, with an extraordinarily elegant asymmetrical form and beautiful decorative craftsmanship throughout.
This is a particularly impressive example of Victorian seating, combining a sweeping upholstered chaise with extensive exposed walnut detailing. The frame features an elaborate hand-carved crest, scrolling decoration, turned spindle gallery and beautifully shaped open arm, creating a wonderfully architectural silhouette.

Presented in very good antique condition with signs of age and previous use consistent with a piece dating from the Victorian period.
The walnut frame displays a beautiful naturally developed patina alongside occasional age-related marks, knocks, variations in colour and other imperfections associated with antique furniture.
The blue upholstery is a later addition and presents beautifully, creating a striking contrast against the richly coloured walnut frame.
