Antique Oak Three-Door Sideboard – Late Victorian / Edwardian, Circa 1900

£595.00

A wonderfully characterful antique oak three-door sideboard dating to approximately 1890–1910, combining beautiful craftsmanship, generous storage and a particularly rich period appearance.

Dating from the late Victorian to early Edwardian period, with attractive Arts & Crafts influences, this substantial sideboard features three useful upper drawers positioned above three individual cupboard doors.

The outer cupboard doors are decorated with distinctive incised diagonal detailing, while the central door has a more restrained panelled design. Above the generous serving surface sits a raised gallery back, beautifully finished with an unusual carved fan or sunburst-style crest incorporating a central floral motif.

The oak has developed a gorgeous deep honey-brown colour and wonderfully rich antique patina, with particularly attractive natural grain and figuring throughout.

Decorative brass drawer handles, traditional cupboard fittings and keyhole details complete the period appearance beautifully.

With its excellent proportions and substantial storage, this is an exceptionally versatile antique piece that could work beautifully as a dining-room sideboard, kitchen cupboard, hallway console or statement storage cabinet within a contemporary interior.
