A superb early 20th-century oak bureau bookcase, dating from approximately c.1910–1930, and most likely around the 1920s.

Beautifully proportioned and full of period character, this impressive piece combines a traditional writing bureau, bookcase and generous storage in one exceptionally versatile design.

The upper section features a pair of elegant leaded-glass doors with geometric diamond detailing, opening to reveal multiple wooden shelves. The warm oak has particularly attractive figuring throughout, giving the cabinet a wonderfully rich appearance.

Below, the fall-front bureau opens to form a generous writing surface and reveals a traditional fitted interior with individual pigeonholes and small drawers — ideal for stationery, correspondence and smaller personal items.

Three substantial drawers provide additional storage, while the turned front supports and stretchered base complete its handsome early 20th-century appearance.
