A beautiful antique oak writing bureau dating from circa 1900, combining wonderful period character, decorative detailing and practical storage.
Crafted in richly figured oak, the bureau features an attractive fall-front writing section with an ornate central decorative motif. Opening the fall reveals a fitted interior with pigeonholes, a small central drawer and a generous writing surface.
Below are two useful full-width drawers fitted with decorative dark metal drop handles and coordinating applied detailing. The bureau stands on turned legs joined by a traditional stretchered base, completing its handsome period appearance.
A particularly characterful piece that would work beautifully as a writing desk, occasional workspace or statement piece of antique furniture.

Condition
