A handsome and highly practical antique Edwardian oak draw-leaf dining table, dating to approximately c.1900–1920, with beautifully figured timber, substantial proportions and wonderful English country-house character.
Crafted in richly toned oak, the table features an impressive framed and panelled top, showcasing beautiful natural grain and figuring throughout.
Two additional leaves draw out from beneath the central tabletop, transforming the table from a compact everyday dining table into a considerably larger surface when additional dining space is required.
The substantial base features elegant cabriole-style legs, connected by a particularly attractive shaped cross-stretcher. This unusual detail gives the table a distinctive silhouette while adding to its substantial construction.
With its warm aged oak, versatile draw-leaf design and beautifully balanced proportions, this is an exceptionally usable antique table that would sit effortlessly within an English country house, farmhouse, Arts & Crafts inspired or traditional interior.
