A beautiful antique Davenport writing desk dating from approximately 1880–1910, combining elegant period styling with wonderfully practical storage.
The desk features a traditional sloping writing surface with an inset tooled leather panel. The top lifts to reveal a fitted interior with multiple stationery and document compartments, while a bank of four drawers to the side provides further useful storage.
Beautiful figured timber, turned front columns, decorative brass ring handles and the shaped lower stretcher give this piece a particularly handsome appearance. The raised stationery compartment to the rear completes the classic Davenport design.
A superb statement piece for a home office, study, library, hallway or living space.
