Antique Burr Walnut Queen Anne Revival Sideboard – c.1930

A magnificent early 20th-century burr walnut sideboard, dating approximately from the 1920s–1930s.

This handsome Queen Anne Revival piece is distinguished by the exceptional burr and figured walnut veneers displayed across its doors and drawer fronts. The richly patterned timber creates a wonderfully decorative appearance, with beautiful variations in grain and tone throughout.

The sideboard offers an excellent combination of elegance and practical storage, featuring two generous side cupboards and three central drawers. Ornate period-style drop handles complement the timber beautifully, while the shaped lower apron and elegant cabriole legs feature attractive carved detailing.

Across the top, a decorative carved edge leads to a subtle raised gallery with a shaped central motif, adding another layer of craftsmanship to this impressive piece.

Its generous proportions make it ideal as a traditional dining-room sideboard, while it would work equally well as a buffet, drinks cabinet, living-room storage cabinet or statement hallway piece.
