A superb set of six antique oak dining chairs, dating from approximately 1890–1910, with wonderful Arts & Crafts and late Victorian/Edwardian character.
The set comprises four side chairs and two matching carver armchairs, all constructed in beautifully figured oak with a rich, deep finish. Broad curved top rails, vertical back splats and carved foliate corner details give the chairs a distinctive architectural appearance.
Particularly attractive details include the carved and twisted sections to the front legs, traditional stretchered construction and beautifully aged brown leather seats finished with studded edging.
A handsome and increasingly difficult-to-find complete set, ideal around a large farmhouse, refectory or traditional dining table.

These are antique chairs and naturally display age-related marks, surface wear, variations in colour and other signs of previous use consistent with their age. The leather seats also display attractive natural ageing and wear.
