Antique Arts & Crafts Oak Chest of Drawers – c.1890–1910

£695.00

A beautifully proportioned antique oak chest of drawers, dating to approximately c.1890–1910, with wonderful late Victorian and Arts & Crafts influences.

Constructed in richly figured oak, this handsome chest has developed a beautiful warm colour and established patina over more than a century of use. Its restrained design allows the natural grain and character of the timber to take centre stage, complemented by decorative period-style metal drop handles and individual key escutcheons.

The chest features a highly practical arrangement of two short upper drawers above three generous full-width drawers, providing excellent storage while retaining elegant and balanced proportions.

Subtle decorative detailing around the lower corners and feet adds another layer of craftsmanship to the otherwise understated design.

A wonderfully versatile antique that would sit beautifully within a bedroom, dressing room, hallway or traditional country-house interior, while its clean proportions also make it particularly easy to incorporate into a more contemporary home.
