Antique Art Deco Figured Walnut Glazed Display Cabinet – c.1930

A truly striking Art Deco figured walnut display cabinet, dating approximately from the 1920s–1930s.

Beautifully proportioned and highly decorative, this impressive cabinet combines richly figured warm timber with distinctive geometric glazing and elegant period detailing.

The pair of large glazed doors feature unusual sweeping curved glazing bars, creating a wonderfully architectural Art Deco-inspired design across the front. Glazed side panels allow additional light into the cabinet and make it particularly effective for displaying glassware, ceramics, treasured collections or decorative objects.

Internally, the cabinet features two generous glass shelves, a glass-lined lower display surface and a subtly patterned fabric-backed interior.

The stepped architectural top is complemented by carved decorative bands, while the shaped cabriole-style legs provide an elegant contrast to the strong geometric lines of the cabinet.

A particularly versatile antique that could be used as a traditional display or china cabinet, or transformed into a fabulous cocktail and drinks cabinet.
